Le Zine de Maurice, a gate to the circle of the wooden Fellows

You may already know the wooden Fellows from browsing our website, from Building Stories on Air, their weekly radio show on WCOM-FM, or from around Chapel Hill and Carrboro, NC, where they show up in person.

You can now find them on Patreon, through a zine called Le Zine de Maurice (and other wooden Fellows), a gate to a gentle community called the Circle of the Wooden Fellows.

They cannot wait to engage with you, joined by the Douilles that the wooden Fellows recently met on a trail in France. Tired of being stepped on by endless hikers, five Douilles decided to follow the wooden Fellows home and to share their perspectives with Maurice, exclusively in his Zine.

Zine worm — $15/month

As a zine worm, you get

Le Zine de Maurice, delivered digitally monthly on the 15th, including insights from the wooden Fellows inviting you to slow down and reflect, invitations to create your own stories, games to get to know them better, and exclusive photos of the Douilles. 

Access to the wooden Fellows Circle chat, to engage with others and share thoughts echoed back in the following month’s zine. Frederique post several times a month to engage everyone with pictures of the wooden Fellows and prompts.

A printed version of the Zine, sent to your door on the 15th, as yours to keep, or sent somewhere else entirely: a grandchild in another city, a lifelong friend, anyone you want to bring into this world with you.

And something very peculiar

You are paired with one of the five Douilles. That’s right. You can be one of only four, bonding with quite a private Douille. 

Each month, your Douille sends a postcard, arriving at your door (or the door of a beloved one), with prompts to unleash your imagination.  Answer back to get another one!

Each month, your Douille invites you to a small live Zoom call with 4 other Douille Companions, talking, noticing, and learning from one another. Frederique will lead the call to gently engage everyone for a very smooth experience.
