Whether you come for the Giggles or the Chisels, I hope our words bring you joy, peace and deepen your curiosity towards early childhood and the amazing abilities of young children!

Giggles and Chisels, LLC was founded to elevate young children, their uniqueness, their ingenuity, candor, and natural curiosity while keeping us — not so young children anymore — deeply connected to those early years of life through an imaginary world of wooden Fellows. 

An infant rolling over for the first time, a toddler exploring their environment with more or less confidence, a preschooler drawing the picture of a dinosaur with the accuracy of a paleontologist, I am indeed profoundly attached to those early childhood years, for various reasons.

First, I have been in the professional field of early childhood for over 15 years, always eager to dig into research-based resources related to young children, and activities to stimulate their amazing brains. I hope my posts inspire you listen to young children’s thinking, and offer ideas to easily engage with their curiosity.

Second, I was, once, the mom of two children who went through those magic years, with so little time to implement all of the amazing research-based ideas mentioned in 1. : ) I hope my posts bring you comfort, and reassurance. Raising children is an arduous journey, with ups and downs, doubts, and joys. No need to add pressure to ourselves.

Finally, and most importantly, a piece of myself got stuck in those early years, when I lost my dad at four years old. I hope the wooden Fellows bring you joy and comfort, whatever your own early childhood experiences may have been.

All together, let’s show the whole world the often unnoticed potential of young children, and give them all the attention, and care, they deserve to grow in peace.
